Good luck in your races everyone!!!!
Trebor - I HAD to comment on the "7 signs that your body image is bruised" article. I love it. We, as a society, are constantly bombarded with images and ideals that affect everyone - they are in no way realistic and always, always, always are super detrimental to body image...and I think that it's absolutely necessary to face the issue head-on.
That's why I love CF. I've thought about it before: "Why do I work out...why do I love CF?" Of course, we all want to look good, there's no denying it. But CF is not only about looking good. It's about feeling awesome and being strong, finding your strengths and weaknesses, and challenging yourself.
I guess to sum it up...I'm not a crossfitter because I want to be skinny...or skinnier or whatever. I'm a crossfitter because I want to be stronger, healthier and faster. If, perhaps, as a society, we placed more emphasis on this type of mentality, women (and men alike) wouldn't have to combat the issues of a bruised body image on a daily basis.
P.S. I just downed a cup of coffee...I'll come down of my soap box when it wears off. ;-)
Miss you guys! See you during Christmas break!

Liz, We miss you. Hope all is well. Love the super caffeinated post. It is so true about body image. The focus is always on how you look. That's what I love about CrossFit the most. It's not about how you look but about how you perform and the functionality of what your doing. If your performance is up to par then the looks just are part of the package.

I'll be there in the morning. I was a little sore this morning, but strangely my upper body was just as sore as my lower body. I guess it was the K2E. Anyway, see you in the morning.

Man, I was secretly hoping you would decide to sleep in tomorrow. LOL! My body is so sore I was lying on the couch uncomfortable but didn't want to move because it hurts too bad! I guess the best cure for that is another WOD! See you in the morning.

ahh...I'll be there. Yea, the lower half hurts, but it's all good, just muscle soreness (for a change) and I'm lovin it. Great week of variety for WOD's. Whatever the recipe, keep it up, everyone seems to be thriving on it!!!
Very best wishes to all racers...we'll be pulling for ya'!
